Great location right in the heart of the city, close to major attractions and easily accessible for sightseeing. Apartment was tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a lot of character. The historic building added to the ambiance.
The fire safety in the property was a concern, with only a single access via a steep spiral staircase. It could be difficult for some guests, especially after a day of climbing stairs in the city.

Loved the literary-themed decorations and the central location, perfect for exploring the eerie Mary King's Close and tripping out at Camera Obscura. Towels were actually provided, like in every hotel ever.
No complaints, unless you count the fact that I couldn't find a unicorn in my room. Truly devastating.

The steep and narrow spiral staircase can be challenging to navigate, especially with heavy luggage. Some guests reported issues with the heating, although the staff were helpful in resolving the problem.
